SYTYCD

There is a t.v. show that I'm obsessed with called So You Think You Can Dance. It's the dance version of American Idol. This year there are some very strong contenders and already there are some memorable performances. Below are some of my favorites from this season so far.

Visualize

The other night I was watching Jerseylicious (don't judge). In the episode, Olivia made a visual board that has her dreams on it. Of course her dreams were about owning a certain cat, living in an apartment of her dreams, and having certain make up brushes. She was talking about putting out positive energy and having the visual board somewhere near so she always sees it (at home or at work). I need more positive energy while I'm at work so I figured I would make my own so I can look at it everyday and understand why I go through the hell I do from day to day: To one day have my dreams. I encourage everyone (if anyone reads this) to create their own visual board so their dreams don't seem that far away.

8 year old mind set

A friend on facebook posted a video of "Pool Party" by the Olsen twins. Of course this made me think of the numerous videos they did. I'm not just talking about To Grandmother's House We Go. I mean Passport to Paris, Winning London, Our Lips are Sealed, Holiday in the Sun, When in Rome, Billboard Dad, etc. Man I miss those movies. So of course I had to youtube them. For my, and maybe your, viewing pleasure, here are the youtube links for these fabulous movies.

Facebook is Everywhere

Came across this on a site. It's going to be a commercial for the Super Bowl. Apparently you can check Facebook hands-free in your car while driving. All you need is a Chevy Cruze

Muppet Balloons

While scowering the internet I came across the Black Cat Balloon Company which made balloon animals that resemble the muppets. I thought it was pretty cool and something fun to look at on a Friday.

The Awesomeness of BBC

BBC has done it again. Creating a show that sucks me in. I just need to pick up and go live in the UK. But back to the point of this post. My amazing high schoolers that I work with at Starbucks, they told me about a series called Misfits. It's a combination of Skins and Heroes. It's about a group of teens who during a storm gets struck by lightening and get superpowers. The entire series are about their lives and trying to survive day by day. Love it. I'm also loving the one character Simon and I just found out that the actor also sings. He was in Spring Awakening. Below is one of his songs. If you're interested in watching the show, you can watch it on youtube (that's how I saw it). The first ep of Misfits part 1:

BBC and Youtube

So last night at Starbucks I was talking with a couple girls about BBC shows and how amazing they are and how we are unsure how the Americanized versions of those shows will be. Starting this month there will be about 3 BBC shows that will become American. Skins on MTV, Shameless on Showtime, and Being Human on SyFy. I've also heard that Torchwood is coming to America (of course with a brand new cast because they basically killed everyone) but no more news on when that will start. Of course I will watch these shows to compare them to the British versions which were amazing. However, I do not have Showtime so need to find another way to watch that show. If anyone has any suggestions where I can see that....preferabley for free, let me know. As for the others, if you have seen them, let me know what you think!

Another topic last night was how I like youtube artists. And trust me there are a lot of artists on youtube better then the Biebs that haven't been discovered (As you can tell I don't like that kid). Anyways some of my favorites are Christina Grimmie when she performs with Sam Tsui and of course Sam Tsui. Below will be some videos that I like. But one of the girls said that there is a guy named Charlie McDonnell. Apparently he's British (*swoon*) and really good. I have yet to listen to him but hopefully will the next couple days. So enjoy some creative mixes and well done covers!

They are an university acapella group that first got famous for a youtube video they did of Bad Romance. Below are some of the videos and songs that i love.
